Fusion 2.1 - Hunt for the Phoenix

This is the first book in the series which Emma and Chris have completed and have a finished 113, 400 word manuscript. They are currently sending letters and samples to agents.

Introduction

A tale of redemption and duty – Mana Seraph is host to the Spirit of the Phoenix; a creature entwined within her being that is far from human understanding. The ghastly process of fusing her with the Spirit was carried out by the tyrannical Empire of Fusion. However she was not fused with the entire Spirit as she was rescued and then brought to the treetop village of Pheo, worshipers of the Phoenix. The brutal and obsessive General of the Empire, Qwuiff Lavation became relentless in retrieving Mana back for not just the Empire but for his own glory, along with eradicating any nation who got in his way. Alongside her vigilant Guardians, Mana is bound to servitude for the survival of her people.

It isn’t until an attempt on her life brings the entire situation into focus. Blooded and broken, a mercenary employed by Fusion is captured by Pheo. Revealing an astonishing secret; that he is an Angel, the sword of the Holy Sorceress and to all those evident, has fallen far from his Heavenly duty. This corruption of an Angel into the ranks of Fusion inspires Mana to encourage the Angel, Dark, to redeem himself and serve by her side as one of her Guardians.

Reluctantly accepting this proposition, Dark embarks on redeeming himself the only way he knows how - by taking lives.
